The GyD Story

GyD was started by travelers for travelers. These travelers found it very hard to get around the globe in non-english speaking countries originally. Not being able to speak the language or get submerged into the culture didn't really allow them to see the 'real' parts to the country and the people. Staying and learning at only the tourist level wasn't going to be enough. "As we learned how to travel we actually began to create a network of locals that we would stay with in these various country. It was only through these experiences staying and being hosted by these people were we able to fully get a better experience and deeper visit while traveling. Additionally as much as we loved trying to submerge ourselves into the language of the country it was very hard to learn the language so having a host that spoke the native language and in our case english really helped the experience." In fact it made the difference. This is really how GyD was born. We at GyD would like to share that same philosophy with other travelers and help create a worldwide traveling network.
